What Are Muse Cells?
Muse cells (Multilineage-differentiating Stress Enduring cells) are a naturally occurring stem cell type first identified in 2010 by Dr. Mari Dezawa’s research team at Tohoku University. They’re distinguished by a specific surface marker (SSEA-3⁺) and a natural ability to sense signals released by stressed or damaged tissue, then travel toward that tissue when delivered into the bloodstream. This built-in targeting is different from how many conventional stem cell approaches work, and it’s a key reason musecell therapy is growing across regenerative medicine. The deepest research base so far are in areas like cardiac recovery, stroke, and neurological injury, and newer studies now extending into other areas. Products used at Vita Nova are sourced through MCI’s authorized distribution channel, with each lot verified by a Certificate of Analysis.
How Are Muse Cells Being Studied?
